Catch them doing it Right vs Wrong

Working with so many organization for past 11 years have given me opportunity to see many managers and leaders behavior to award a team member.

Comparative study can tell you mostly same story...

Its very easy to spot a team member doing something wrong or mistakes, because people do feel its their right to give that news to others :)

At the same time when you see team members doing things right, telling it to someone feels like you are giving something from your pocket :(

Lot of manager, leaders, team leads, seniors and superior may feel good about some weakness in team member so they can feel superior to them or when their is opportunity to negotiate then can use this as tool.

Wrong things carry forwards your names almost everywhere, doing right things could end as soon as you leave the place/team.

Not recognizing the effective behavior of each team member apparently can be bad recognition of a manager as well, example ..I got grocery gift card...and i felt negotiated :(.

Manager should never take the responsibility of appraisal unless you are really aware of your team member, don't do it just because you are manager or you have the authority to do it, its not one of your calender event, its someones recognition you are providing.

Get the to know team by team members not by team lead if you are manager.

Be the first one to recognize, It helps in your recognition to your boss, don't be scared someday someone will catch someone doing wrong will hamper your recognition.

Bussiness of Social Networking

Trend of social networking has been constantly evolving, and it’s becoming more and more close to groups, colleagues, friends and family, most of these has been doing pretty well. One thing is still needs improvement social network for business. Here is my category and analysis:

Facebook:--Friends, family and colleagues, and groups, on the business side mostly internet marketing and too much of Viagra and stupid games.

Twiter: Friends, family and colleagues: on the business side mostly events and small news, and announcements.

Linkdin: colleagues, alumni and groups, on the business side mostly profiles/resume and jobs.

I mentioned above because they are leaders and rest on either trying one of above things or not heard.

What really business needs from Social networking:

iPhone to be unlocked after AT&T contract over with APPLE

I believe, there should be legal unlock to iphone after AT&T and apple contract over in 2011, this would be great for both:

1) APPLE--Those who can't afford can have used/refurbish and use phone as alternative..ad money, app money, music money all for apple and everyone.

2) ATT--New phone are every year, like i would love to upgrade ..or buy another one..if i feel i can sell my old iphone, new two year contract , extra i can use overseas.

3) BOTH--Ahead of game, system(phone), software (iOS), sales (voice, data, apps, games, music).. competition can't be near to it if all these are going fast and no stupid locking or something like that. Otherwise, Verizon will kill at&t.

Paperless world....

Today i had thought may be you will see company like apple or google made it...but here is my thought...
I see billians article are published in paper formats..i.e newspapers, magazines and books...only reason because its cheap now is publishing and distributing costs...so cheap that if goes to waste does not matter.

You have seen already two things
1) book reader like sony and amazon
2) projectors.

there are many types of computer now..one for each time we need something to do ...its helping everywhere.

We see its touching our basic senses:
Sight
Hearing
Touch
smell and taste will be next thing in future.

I am still considering touch, sight and hearing..device which could bring world without paper.

"Foldable, durable plastic like two page display computer thin enough like magazine connected to internet."

Its use is definitely indefinite as papers...cost can be lower then all...if you considering years of subscription and costs associated publishing and distributing.

1) Will be nice to have most of of the applications comes with web licence.

2) love the idea, software/web-services as utility services...

3) Its going to be Hit for Startups if they are able to convince the small business owner to buy their service...so business owner don't have to pay a higher capitol cost of opening business with their online presence.

4)It will be great idea for service to come with bundle like, email, user/customer/client account, database, and some web-services developed or in-house build.

5) if the basic service is less then 50$ a month, most people will buy like they do cellphone, internet and cable.

6) Its cost effective for both, provider can run big data and application center and can support thousands of client coming 50K or more a month and same time its benefit to client, since not paying for computer, electricity, internet and support persons to run the infrastructure.

7) Best part can be managed globally, just need internet to connect with your data/application client interface build by these providers.

8) I would love to demonstrate the idea of cloud computing, how it could be cheaper and better for most company to run their business.
